Molly Murphy is a writer and artist based in Marlborough, New Zealand. She was raised in the soulful and creative city of New Orleans but now calls New Zealand home. Molly's creativity is fueled by her family's urban sanctuary: a lifestyle block with established gardens, a babbling stream, chickens, honey bees and the family dog and cat.
Molly earned a bachelors degree in Visual Art and French from Louisiana State University. A component of her studies included exchange programmes with both the University of New York at Stony Brook and Université de Haute Bretagne in Rennes, France. Molly works with an array of mediums including acrylic, gouache, and digital illustration. Her creativity extends beyond the brush as she is also a published author in both poetry and fiction. Molly's novel 'Guardians of Draconem, The Discovery' is fantasy/magical realism for middle grade and young adult readers.
When Molly's not creating, she works as a clinical psychologist. A field in which she has enjoyed and excelled at for over 15 years.
